I wrote a few lines
about my feelings, when I was travelling from Banglore to Chennai.I thought I
will share it with you.
My train journey from
Banglore to Chennai was too nostalgic. The few trips that I had travelled from
Banglore with my kids, alone, was a nightmare.Rolling on the floor, jumping from
upper to the lower berth, crying, asking for everything that was sold, not
eating, vomiting, pouring the water, dancing all the steps that were taught, opening
the eyes of the passengers who were fast asleep in the A.C coach, pulling the
blankets of the old passengers, wanting to go out of the compartment and
hitting the passengers sitting near the door............ omg............ (andJi thought that my brother's words were true. They
were so hyper because I had prayed to Lord Hanuman during my pregnancyJ) And me avoiding the irritated, angry,
sympathetic, annoying looks of the co passengers. I could read their mind,”Who
asked her to travel with these kinds of kids?" I was unable to handle
them............and thought that i will never recommend two kids to anybody. I
hoped for the day to travel alone, to read a book , enjoy music, sleep, and
calmly enjoy the nature passing by.
Alas!!! The day came
with my little Varsh all grown up, bidding good bye , assuring me with full
confidence that she will take care of herself.I boarded the brightly painted
double decker train with a book in my hand. Wow! I got a separate window seat.It was very narrow,
reminding me that I should go on GM diet next time;)
But as the train
started moving, I was not able to read a single line from the book or close my
eyes for a minute, enjoy the drizzle or the nature passing by. There was nobody
to pull my duppatta, my hair, my glasses. All along I was only thinking of my
little ones...............
